This is a celebrity restaurant. The owner is none other than Robert Redford. It is always busy during the Sundance Festival so be sure to make a reservation. You can locate it on Main Street. It sits at the very end.
Zoom indicates its relationship to films and the festival in a blatant way. The walls and décor feature mementoes from the
Sundance Film Festival. There is an outdoor patio. There are also two dining rooms downstairs and one upstairs. All three tend to become active with people ordering food during the Festival and in ski season.
The meal is American with a local twist. It focuses on a few specific items, not varying greatly from day to day or year to year. A popular favorite are the burgers. These include the Grilled Black Angus Burger or Cheeseburger. This comes under the heading of sandwiches. Other sandwiches include Today's Seafood Sandwich and the grilled vegetable wrap.
The menu also offers guests a select choice of salads, starters, main courses and desserts. Starters range from a simple "Mug o'Soup" to herbed potato flapjack with house soaked salmon. An interesting salad is the field greens with sunflower seeds and gorgonzola. A more traditional salad is the Caesar Salad with or without grilled chicken or grilled white shrimp. You can also order pizza or pasta.
The main meals include double R ranch ribs with cornbread and coleslaw and cider poached salmon. In season, you can ask for the fish of the day. Be sure to save room for dessert. These may consist of a walnut spice cake with coffee ice cream and bourbon anglaise, Tiaramisu or homemade ice creams and sorbets. Wine and other beverages are also available to round off the meal.
