Park City restaurant, The Eating Place, has been in business since 1972 and is now the oldest continuously operating restaurant in town. Over the years, The Eating Place has gained a reputation for good food and good service.
The Eating Place is located on historic Main Street in this former frontier mining town. The atmosphere is casual, making it a great family place. The decor is rustic, with brick and wood, fireplaces, and scenic photographs of the rugged Utah countryside. There is an enclosed patio done in a pleasant Southwest style. It's just the place to enjoy a hearty breakfast before a day of skiing, hiking or golfing; or to have a terrific dinner after an active day. You can also break for lunch while enjoying a day of shopping. This is the place to relax with good food and a drink.
The Eating Place serves up generous portions at a reasonable price and the clam chowder comes highly recommended. The Hungry Miner is a heaping skillet of ham, cheddar cheese, eggs, potatoes, onions, peppers, mushrooms and toast. The menu also includes a wonderful, char-broiled burger, excellent baby back ribs, and the customer favorite, the certified Black Angus strip steak. Desserts, like mud pie, New York style cheesecake, and raspberry chocolate torte are all made on the premises.
