The Canyons of Park City is the largest ski resort in Utah and one of the five largest in the United States.
Winter Sports
With 8 mountain peaks and 3,700 skiable acres, this resort has all the amenities that snowsport enthusiasts will love. Skiers and snowboarders with a variety of skill levels will enjoy many of the 155 trails over two terrain parks, constantly powdered down with the annual snowfall of 355 inches.
Located about 32 miles from the Salt Lake City International Airport, the resort also has a diverse selection of chairlifts, totaling up to 17 from eight-person gondola rides to surface lifts.
Winter skiing and sports are not the only activities available at The Canyons. The resort hosts many summer events as well for visitors interested in the warmer months.
Canyons in Summer
With many ski lifts still operable, visitors will enjoy these rides even without snow on the ground. The lush green foliage and mountains will awe and inspire all who gaze upon it.
Other summer activities include disc golf, hot air balloon rides, mountain biking, hiking and fly-fishing. Park City has a list of events scheduled for almost every summer too.
Park City in Summer
Opening in early June, the Park City Farmers' Market is held in the Cabriolet parking lot. A summer concert series is held at The Canyons. The Park City Food & Wine Classic is a popular favorite among vacationers and residents alike, along with the Park City Mountain Bike Race Series.
