The
Snowbird resort has been named the top U.S. ski resort by SKIING Magazine five years in a row and boasts a long history in Utah, with its roots tracing back to the late 1800's silver mining industry of Little Cottonwood Canyon.
With four slope-side lodges, Cliff Lodge, Lodge at Snowbird, The Inn and Iron Blossom, the resort thrives off tourism in both winter and summer.
Winter at Snowbird
Snowbird has the longest ski and snowboarding season in Utah, running from November to May and sees a total of about 500 inches of snowfall per year. Its 89 runs scale across 2,500 acres of skiable terrain, with 27 percent for beginners, 38 percent intermediate and 35% advanced.
The resort also has a diversity of ski lifts, including one tram, four quads and six doubles.
Summer at Snowbird
Summers are quite different from the winter, the mountainside void of the powdery snow and the sun beaming down at visitors. However, the fun does not stop at the Snowbird.
Visitors enjoy a variety of activities available in the warmer months. Some of the more popular include horseback riding, river rafting, hiking, fly fishing, riding the alpine slide, and ziplining.
Relaxation Year-Round
The resort offers relaxation and comfort year-round with spa services and premium lodging. When planning your next vacation, no matter the season, consider these luxurious accommodations.
