Deer Creek State Park
Just outside of Park City near Midway, the
Deer Creek State Park spans over 3,000 acres. The park is maintained by the state's Division of Parks and Recreation, and first opened in the 1930s. Rockport State Park is nestled high in the mountains, covering 770 acres at 6,000 feet above sea level. The area is a popular site for both tent and RV campers, and features eight different campsites. Also between Heber Valley and Park City, the
Wasatch Mountain State Park welcomes visitors year-round. This is one of the most developed parks in the state, featuring AAA four-diamond resort properties, motels, bed and breakfasts, and other types of lodging on-site. Visitors can also camp at the campground, and partake in snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, fly fishing, golfing horseback riding, and more.
