Park City Kimball Arts Center
The
Kimball Arts Center was established in 1976 with the mission of promoting the arts in the local community. This non-profit community arts center has been home to the longest running visual arts festival in the state, the Park City Kimball Arts Festival. It also hosts the largest and most renowned independent film festival in the world, the
Sundance Film Festival, which brings top producers, directors, stars, and other creatives to the area each January. With a visit to the
Kimball Arts Center, you will find three galleries: the Main Gallery, the Badani Gallery, and the Garage Gallery. Exhibits rotate every six to eight weeks. Old Town Gallery, you will find a unique collection of original prints and maps, as well as the works of contemporary artists. You can find just the original print, antique map, or other antiquated print that you are looking for here. The walls and rooms of the gallery are also filled with modern artworks like paintings, sculptures, and other media. The majority of the works are inspirational and vibrant pieces that capture the spirit of Park City. Past exhibits have included the works of Richard Erdman, David Smith-Harrison, Harold Larsen, and others. The

Long before Park City was a hot ski resort, the city was a vibrant mining community. With a visit to the
Park City Museum, you can learn more about the city's history, with exhibits covering the discovery of silver in the surrounding mountains through the present time with tourism as the main economic power. This interesting museums features exhibits on the more than 300 mines in the area, stage coach and underground ski lift exhibits, and more. The museum is located in the City Hall building, a historic building that was built in 1885. You can find this museum at 528 Main Street.
